Illa is survived by two daughters, Jean Koopman of Sioux Falls, SD and Ellen (Don) Richmond of Greely, CO three grandsons, Arnie (Barb) Koopman of Harrisburg, SD, Ed Koopman of Sioux Falls, SD and Brian (Connie) Allen of Broomfield, CO three great-grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth Allen of Broomfield, CO, Jessica (Jarrod) Bakker of Harrisburg, SD and Patrick Koopman of Harrisburg, SD several nieces and nephews. She was also a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Oregon, where she served as a Deacon for three years. Illa was a member of the Stateline Presbyterian Church, where she served as a Sunday school teacher and organist for many years. In 2004, she moved to Waterford All Saints in Sioux Falls, SD where she was known for her seamstress abilities, quilting, bridge playing and taking charge of the craft room. In 1977, Art passed away and she moved to Medford, Oregon. The couple lived in Westwood, CA and in 1949 moved back to the family farm in Rock County, MN. In 1939, she married Arthur Buus in Reno, NV. She attended rural school and then went to Luverne High School, where she graduated in 1935. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 12th from 2-8 p.m., with the family present from 6-8 p.m. Burial will follow in the Stateline Cemetery, rural Ellsworth, MN. Rott, age 95, of Sioux Falls, SD, formerly of rural Ellsworth, MN died Friday, Jat the Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. Palmer, Henry Clinton (Clint) of Buffalo, 87 years old died Feb.Rock Rapids, Iowa Illa K. 23, 2008 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Clint was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Pat. He was survived by one sister, Betty Watkins of Clemson two daughters, Pam McMillian and Kim Knox of Buffalo four sons, Mike Palmer of Sacramento, Calif., Dan Palmer and Mark Palmer of York and Kevin Palmer of Whitmire. He was born in Central, the third son of Icy and Lee Palmer, on Sept. Clint was a World War II veteran and served honorably in the U.S. He was in the 584 Squadron, (B-26 Marauders), of the 394th Bomber Group in the Ninth Air Force. Prior to his deployment to England, his group was stationed at McDill Army Air Base in Tampa, Fla., and then at Kellogg Field in Battle Creek, Mich., where he met his wife, Patricia Ann Ricketts. Clint served in the European Theater of Operations, and his bomber group was the first to be based in Continental Europe following the D-Day invasion at Normandy in 1944. His airfield in Belgium was in the axis of the German Army advance during the Battle of the Bulge. They shared over 47 years of a beautiful marriage. ![]() On November 21, 1975, Pat married her loving husband, Larry E. Pannier, Frederick LeRoy 59 years old, of Newberry, died Oct. Pat was born on May 3, 1944, in Salisbury, Wilts, England, a daughter of the late Warren E. Born in Bethany, Conn., he was a son of the late Charles and Ruth Busbee Pannier. Surviving were his wife, Tracy Alsbrooks Pannier a son, Frederick LeRoy “Lee” Pannier of Newberry sisters, Robert Tobin of Columbia, Dianne Pannier of Florida and Judy Reinwald of Connecticut grandchildren, Trinity Rivers, Frederick LeRoy “Trey” Pannier and Emma-Lou Pannier. 21, 1933 in Asheville, N.C., she was a daughter of the late Judson Luther and Mildred Ann Rice Ballard. Parker a daughter, Mitia (George) Osborne of Prosperity a brother, Howard Niel Ballard of Thomasville, N.C.
